This was front page news in the UK and Europe, where cloned meat remains banned. Here in the US, nobody even knows that we're being sold meat from cloned animals. Of course, cloning animals is one of the many disgusting farming technqiues still illegal in the US for organic meat. So if you don't want to eat the flesh of a cloned animal, or want to avoid eating hidden antibiotics and growth hormones in your dinner, choose organic meat (or go vegetarian instead).

i am so horrified by this. this is one of the most morally repugnant developments in scientific history. and just a few scant months ago the fda said it had no plans to legalize the sale of cloned meats anytime soon. i knew it was bullshit then.

Madhvi, why do you think this is morally repugnant? Are you against the cloning part or the eating part?

As long as Bush strong-arms the FDA, they will continue to be soft on risk. Can't we learn anything form the EU, or are Americans too arrogant?
