Tree People: Helping Nature Heal our Cities
TreePeople is a nonprofit organization that has been serving the Los Angeles area for over three decades. Simply put, their work is about helping nature heal our cities. We offer sustainable solutions to urban ecosystem problems, focusing on three areas: training and supporting communities to plant and care for trees, educating school children and adults about the environment, and working with government agencies on critical water issues.
Their volunteers have planted over two million trees in the L.A. area over the past thirty years. They also support people like you to plant and care for trees on school campuses, city streets, parks and the mountains surrounding Los Angeles.

I LOVE Tree People!! I started volunteering for them last year and I can't tell you what a rewarding feeling it is to plant a tree. They teach you everything you need to know and they have plantings all over the place. I even went the extra mile and became a planting supervisor so now I help make sure all the volunteers plant trees that will survive. On Earth Day we did a planting at a local school and all the kids came out to help plant trees around their school; it was the best Earth Day ever. I highly recommend checking them out. Dig in the dirt, plant a tree, save the earth!
