Burger King refuses to help increase wages for exploited farm workers
Burger King has rejected the Coalition of Immokalee Workers' demands to pay higher wages to their tomato pickers, calling the farmworkers’ tactics “un-American”. BK has also threated a $100,000 fine against growers that cooperate with McDonald’s or Taco Bell's parent, Yum Brands, who've already agreed to pay their pickers more.
