Thievery Corporation Calls Attention to Global Food Crisis
Thievery Corporation is curating the Outernational Music Festival, a string of summer shows that will feature reps from the United Nations' World Food Programme to bring awareness to the current global food crisis and its catastrophic effect on the world's poor. As food riots break out from Haiti to Egypt and parts outward, it's good to see musicians taking a stand. Playing with Thievery Corporation on selected dates will be Gnarls Barkley, TV on the Radio, Ladytron, Los Amigos Invisibles, Bebel Gilberto, Seu Jorge, Federico Aubele and Turntables on the Hudson.
