Chemicals Are In Every Single Commerical Product On The Market -- Enter Terms Into This Searchable Database And Find Out What They Mean And How They Are Hazardous To Your Health
Commercial mfr's of shampoo, conditioner, soap of all kinds, creams/lotions, toothpaste, mouthwash, perfumes, room sprays, air fresheners, cleaners...you get the drift, like to include all sorts of hazardous chemicals in their products. We absorb 60% internally of all products applied directly to the body. The FDA has pathetic standards and time and again has validated the use of such chemicals as safe with the reasoning that they are used in small amounts and cannot affect you. This is a fallacy as such statements don't take into account that small amounts over time accumulate in the body and cause the body to manifest problems. Don't take my word for it, consider higher rates of cancer, autism, nervous disorders, etc.
Check your labels and don't be fooled by "natural or organic" products. Some of those still contain chemicals! We don't need them---there are good chem-free preservatives that can be used in products. Not worth sacrificing the health of a species (not to mention other species that deal w/ our run-off) for longer shelf life.
